Richard and Julie Griffin

Julie is the Social Secretary at the Egham United Services Club, organising events such as weddings, birthday parties, anniversaries, retirement party, christenings, childrens parties, Easter parades, Christmas parties, wakes and others. Julie arranges the weekly artists for Saturday nights and manages the day to day social activities of the club. Julie has made many good contacts through-out the years.

Julie holds current food hygiene certification.

Richard has been the Club Secretary for three years, with the help of the committee and staff he has managed the club to become a very successful award winning club. Memberships are up as are the takings. Richard is also a keen real ale fan which shows with the selection of real ales available at the club. The bar now has five beer engines in permanent use all kept in excellent condition.

The club is a very popular haunt for CAMRA members who have voted the club "North Surrey CAMRA club of the year for 2008 and 2009"; the club also reached the UK finals for "CAMRA Club of the year in 2009".

Richard also picked up a personal award from the local CAMRA branch of North Surrey CAMRA Campaigner of the Year 2009, Richard is also a personal licences holder and holds current food hygiene certification.
